Training School on the Terrestrial Carbon Community Assimilation System (TCCAS)

This 2-day course on cloud-based terrestrial carbon cycle modelling offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on tuition and lectures on different aspects of terrestrial biosphere modelling, including data assimilation and cloud-based processing.  The course will contain the following components:
–  Intro to the Carbon Cycle
–  Intro to Data Assimilation plus analytical exercises to Data Assimilation
–  D&B Terrestrial biosphere model, Lectures plus Hands-on
–  Terrestrial Carbon Community Assimilation System (TCCAS), Lecture
–  Data Assimilation with TCCAS, Lecture and Hands-on

Due to the enthusiasm for PANGEOS, in-person attendance and eligibility for full reimbursement is expected to be competitive. There are also limited spaces available for virtual participation. Participants will be elected based on the fit to WG3 objectives and relevant expertise, while always paying attention to the geographic and gender inclusiveness criteria for the conference as a whole and with the working group.
