This Joint WG1-WG4 Summer School “Uncertainty analysis and protocol standardisation assessment on novel and operational hyperspectral data products” will be held September 30 – October 4, 2024 in Bucharest, Romania at University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV), Horticulture Faculty.
The training school will be organized by the National Institute of Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics (INFLPR), Magurele – Romania, represented by the PANGEOS WG4 Chair Dr. Laura Mihai, in collaboration with the member of WG1 Dr. Ana Butcaru, University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV), Bucharest – Romania, as local host.
This Training School is dedicated to young researchers but also to others interested in the topic. Financial support will be provided mainly to PhD students, with priority to improve gender balance and for students from ITC countries.
Applications for in-person attendance and reimbursement eligibility were received until 22.07. 2024! THE FINAL SELECTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND ALL INVITATIONS CONFIRMED.
Participation and Support:
Participation in the training school will follow the in-person model. There are only limited number people that can be supported for in-person attendance according to the COST reimbursement rules for Travel: (https://www.cost.eu/uploads/2023/01/COST-Travel-Reimbursement-rules-November-2022.pdf).
Due to the enthusiasm for PANGEOS, in-person attendance and eligibility for full reimbursement was very competitive. Selection was made based on the excellence and inclusiveness criteria (https://www.cost.eu/about/strategy/excellence-and-inclusiveness/).
