WG3 Meeting Stakeholder Engagement
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to a special event celebrating the launch of ESA’s FLuorescence EXplorer (FLEX) mission. We are trying to bring the FLEX community together for that event. About 40-50 people have already shown interest in joining; sorry for cross-posting.
After many years of scientific, technological, and engineering efforts by the international FLEX community, the launch of the mission marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for vegetation remote sensing and fluorescence research. To celebrate this important milestone, we will host an informal launch event in Valencia, bringing together colleagues, collaborators, students, and friends of the FLEX community.
This celebration is open to the wider FLEX and Earth observation community. Please feel free to forward this invitation to colleagues, collaborators, students, and others who may be interested in celebrating this important milestone with us.
Tentative details:
📅 Date: The nighttime FLEX launch, 14-15 September.
📍 Venue: ADEIT Foundation, Valencia city centre, Spain
The night event is expected to include:
Live coverage of the FLEX launch (subject to the official launch schedule) through streaming at ESA’s WebTV.
Short presentations highlighting the FLEX mission and its scientific objectives.
Networking with the local and international Earth observation community.
Drinks and light refreshments.
